Aero the Acro-Bat – Sega Genesis Game

Aero the Acro-Bat is a side-scrolling platformer for the Sega Genesis starring Aero, a bat performer whose circus has been taken over by the villain Edgar Ektor. Rather than simply running to an exit, many stages set you specific objectives, such as hitting a set of targets, passing through rings, or reaching particular points within the level, which encourages exploring the whole layout. Aero attacks with a spinning drill move and can bounce from trampolines, ride roller coasters and be fired from cannons as he works through carnival and funfair environments. The controls emphasise momentum and precise mid-air positioning, and stages hide extra items off the main path. Colourful cartoon visuals and an upbeat soundtrack round out the presentation.
