Alien 3 – SNES Game

Alien 3 on the Super Nintendo is a side-scrolling action game drawn from the film. You play as Ripley, moving through the corridors, vents and industrial spaces of the prison facility while armed with weapons such as a pulse rifle, flamethrower and grenades. Most stages are built around timed objectives: locating and freeing trapped prisoners, destroying alien eggs, or reaching a target point before the clock runs out. The maps are maze-like, encouraging you to learn the layouts and manage limited ammunition as you go. Facehuggers and full-grown aliens attack from ceilings, floor grates and off-screen, so movement is cautious rather than headlong. A radar display and map help you track objectives, and the dim industrial art style and sound design lean on the film’s atmosphere.
