Andretti Racing – PS1 Game

Andretti Racing is a motorsport game for the original PlayStation carrying the Andretti name. It covers more than one style of American racing, letting you compete in open-wheel Indy-style machines as well as heavier stock cars, each with handling that reflects the different classes. Races take place on a mix of ovals and road-style circuits, and you can adjust vehicle setup before heading out rather than driving a single fixed configuration. Modes cover single races, practice sessions and season-length competition, with qualifying and pit strategy factoring into longer events. The camera can be swapped between in-car and chase views, and a split-screen option lets a second player join in. Presentation follows the era’s television-broadcast approach, with commentary and on-screen timing information during a race.
