Army Men – Gameboy Color Game

Army Men brings the plastic toy soldier series to Game Boy Color. You control a green army figure through mission-based stages, fighting rival plastic troops across battlefields built out of oversized everyday terrain, with the small scale of the characters used as the central joke and design idea. Play is action-oriented, viewed from above, and involves moving through stage objectives, using firearms and explosives, and dealing with enemy soldiers and emplacements. Health and ammunition management matter, since a plastic soldier goes down quickly under fire. The handheld format condenses the series’ concept into short mission stages suited to portable sessions. It is a reasonable starting point if you are curious about the Army Men line and want the Game Boy Color version rather than a console entry.
