Army Men Sarge’s War – Gamecube Game

Army Men: Sarge’s War is a third-person shooter in the toy-soldier Army Men series, and it takes a noticeably darker tone than earlier entries. You control Sarge, working through missions on foot against Tan forces after the loss of his squad. Combat involves cover, ranged weapons and grenades, with objectives that include clearing enemy positions, destroying installations and pushing through hostile terrain. Environments mix military-style battlegrounds with settings scaled to plastic soldiers, so ordinary objects loom large around you. Weapons and equipment are miniature versions of real military hardware, and destructible scenery and explosive hazards feature in the level layouts. Story sequences frame the campaign between stages. The GameCube version is played with the standard controller, using twin-stick style movement and aiming.
