Aztec Adventure – Sega Master System Game

Aztec Adventure is an overhead action game for the Sega Master System. You control an explorer making his way through a series of outdoor stages filled with roaming enemies, hazards and hidden passages, working toward the exit of each area. Attacks are handled with a throwable weapon, and coins collected from defeated foes can be spent in shops on items and equipment that improve your chances. One of the game’s distinguishing ideas is that certain enemies can be paid off rather than destroyed, after which they fight alongside you for a time. Progress mixes combat with exploration, as some routes and secrets are tucked behind walls or require the right item. It is a single-player game with a compact, arcade-style structure across its stages.
