Bad Boys: Miami Takedown is an action shooter for Nintendo GameCube based on the Bad Boys films. You play as Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, moving through linear levels and clearing out armed criminals while working through a case built around drugs and organized crime in Miami. Gameplay centers on gunfights with a range of firearms, taking cover, and pushing through enemy-filled interiors and streets, with occasional set pieces to break up the shooting. Levels are structured around objectives to complete before moving on. The presentation borrows the buddy-cop tone of the movies, with the two partners trading dialogue between and during missions. It is a straightforward third-person action game rather than an open-world take on Miami.
