Bard’s Tale – Xbox Game

The Bard’s Tale on Xbox is an action role-playing game with a comic tone, set in a Celtic-flavoured fantasy world. You play a self-interested wandering bard who fights with sword and bow but whose main tool is music: playing tunes summons allied creatures that fight alongside you, and different summons suit different enemies and situations. Combat and movement happen in real time from a third-person view as you travel between towns, dungeons and open countryside. Dialogue frequently offers a choice between snide and cooperative responses, and a narrator comments on the bard’s actions and mocks role-playing conventions throughout. There is voice acting and a number of sung songs. You collect equipment, upgrade abilities and manage the resources that keep your summoned helpers on the field.
