Battletanx – Nintendo 64 Game

BattleTanx is a 3D tank combat game set in a collapsed near-future America where armed gangs fight over territory. In the single-player campaign you take control of tanks and other armoured vehicles across ruined cities and open ground, working through objectives that include destroying enemy forces and protecting targets. Weapon pickups scattered around the maps add missiles, mines and other ordnance to your basic cannon, and you can switch between vehicles you capture along the way. Handling is arcade-style, with drifting turns and destructible scenery rather than simulation detail. Multiplayer supports split-screen battles where players hunt each other through the same arena maps, and much of the game’s structure is built around that kind of straightforward vehicular deathmatch.
