Battletanx Global Assault – Nintendo 64 Game

BattleTanx Global Assault continues the series’ arcade tank combat, moving the fighting across locations around the world rather than keeping it within one country. The single-player campaign strings together missions where you destroy enemy armour, defend objectives and push through city streets, open terrain and other battlefields. A selection of tanks with different speed, armour and firepower is available, and weapon pickups placed around the maps supply missiles, mines and other ordnance to supplement your main gun. Scenery can be shot apart, opening routes and exposing cover. Multiplayer is a substantial part of the package, with split-screen modes that put players in the same arenas to fight it out directly. Controls stay simple and action-focused, favouring quick manoeuvring over simulation.
