Blood Wake – Xbox Game

Blood Wake is a vehicular combat game played on water. You pilot armed boats through coastal waters, rivers and harbours, using mounted machine guns, cannons and missiles against rival craft and shore targets while dodging incoming fire and environmental hazards. A story campaign strings missions together with objectives such as escorting vessels, destroying enemy fleets and racing against time, and different boats vary in speed, armour and weapon loadout. Waves and wakes affect handling, so much of the driving is about controlling jumps and turns in choppy water. Multiplayer modes let players battle each other in split screen. The presentation is oriented toward large-scale naval skirmishes rather than realistic simulation, with arcade-style handling and pickups scattered around the maps.
