Bomberman – Gameboy Game

A Game Boy entry in Hudson’s long-running maze series. You control Bomberman in single-screen arenas built from destructible blocks and solid walls, placing bombs that explode in a cross-shaped blast to clear paths and destroy the enemies patrolling each stage. Power-ups hidden under blocks increase how many bombs you can lay at once and how far their explosions reach, along with other abilities, and you must clear all opponents to open the exit. Your own bombs are just as dangerous as the enemies, so play is about timing placements and keeping an escape route open. The handheld version condenses the action to fit the small monochrome screen, with stages grouped into sets that end in tougher encounters.
