Bonkers – Sega Genesis Game

Bonkers on the Sega Genesis is a side-scrolling platformer based on the Disney animated series. You play as Bonkers D. Bobcat, a cartoon bobcat working as a police officer, running and jumping through stages while chasing down criminals. Movement is built around the usual platforming toolkit of jumps, climbing and hazard avoidance, with enemies dealt with through contact attacks and by using objects found in the environment. The levels lean on slapstick cartoon staging, with pratfalls, springy surfaces and animated backdrops drawn from the show’s world. Progress is measured stage by stage as you close in on the crooks at the end of each area. Controls use the standard Genesis three-button pad, and the game is single-player.
