Bubsy – Sega Genesis Game

Bubsy is a side-scrolling platform game for the Sega Genesis starring Bubsy, a wisecracking bobcat. You run and jump through large, multi-tiered levels, using a glide to cover long gaps and a pounce attack to land on enemies from above. Bubsy moves quickly and builds momentum, so stages are often about controlling speed on slopes and long runs rather than careful step-by-step platforming. The catch is fragility: a single hit costs a life, which makes reading upcoming hazards important. Levels are themed around different environments and hide alternate routes and collectibles off the main path. Bubsy speaks a variety of quips during play and has an assortment of death animations. Yarn balls, the objects the plot is built around, are scattered through the game as the goal of your search.
