Burgertime Deluxe – Gameboy Game

BurgerTime Deluxe is a Game Boy take on the platform-maze formula of the BurgerTime arcade game. You move a chef around single-screen stages made of ladders and walkways lined with burger ingredients, walking across each layer to knock it downward and stack complete burgers. Food-shaped enemies patrol the maze and pursue you, and a limited stock of pepper lets you stun them for a moment so you can slip past. Dropping an ingredient onto a pursuing enemy removes it and can leave behind a bonus pickup. The handheld version keeps the same short, score-driven structure, with stage layouts designed for the Game Boy’s smaller screen. Play is built around learning each maze’s geometry and working out an efficient order in which to drop the layers.
