CART World Series – PS1 Game

CART World Series is an open-wheel racing game for the original PlayStation based on the CART championship. You drive high-downforce Champ Cars across a calendar that mixes ovals, road courses, and temporary street circuits, with licensed teams and cars drawn from the series. The handling sits between arcade and simulation: cars are fast and twitchy at speed, but the game offers assists and adjustable settings so you can dial in how demanding a race feels. Modes cover single races and a full season championship, with qualifying and pit stops shaping how you approach longer events. Track-side detail, commentary-style presentation, and a behind-the-car or cockpit-style viewpoint round out the package. It suits players who want period open-wheel racing on PS1 hardware rather than a modern physics model.
