Castle of Illusion – Sega Master System Game

A side-scrolling platformer starring Mickey Mouse, who sets out through a series of themed areas to rescue Minnie from the witch Mizrabel. Mickey moves and jumps through each stage, defeating enemies by bouncing on them with a downward hop or by picking up and throwing objects he finds along the way. Levels move through varied settings such as forests, toylands and the interior of the castle, each ending in a confrontation before Mickey can continue. Health is tracked as a small number of hits, with items scattered through the stages to restore it. The Master System version is built around straightforward run-and-jump play with bright, cartoon-styled sprites and a focus on learning enemy patterns and jump timing.
