College Slam – Sega Genesis Game

College Slam is an arcade-style basketball game for the Sega Genesis played as two-on-two with college teams. It follows the fast, exaggerated template of the era’s arcade hoops games: no fouls, no free throws, turbo bursts, hard shoves and enormous dunks that send players flying above the rim. Games run in short timed periods on a side-scrolling court, with digitised-style player sprites, a shot clock and on-screen commentary reactions to big plays. Getting several baskets in a row heats up your shooter, improving accuracy from long range. You can play alone against computer opponents, work through a run of teams, or compete with a second player on the same console. Team rosters are drawn from college programmes, each with their own colours and player attributes for speed, shooting and dunking.
