Darklight Conflict – PS1 Game

Darklight Conflict is a space combat game for the PlayStation. You fly a captured alien fighter through mission-based sorties set in open space and around installations, taking on objectives such as destroying enemy craft, escorting or protecting targets and attacking larger structures. The view is from the cockpit with a heads-up display showing shields, targeting information and a radar for tracking contacts around you. Movement is full six-degree flight, so you pitch, roll and yaw freely while managing energy, shields and a selection of guns and missiles. Enemy fighters manoeuvre against you in dogfights, and later missions add tougher opposition and more layered objectives. Between sorties you receive briefings that set out the situation and the goals for the next flight. Play is single-player throughout, with progress made by completing each mission’s requirements.
