Dead or Alive – PS1 Game

Dead or Alive is a 3D weapon-free fighting game brought to the PlayStation from the arcade original. Bouts play out in enclosed rings, and many stages include Danger Zones around the edges that launch fighters into the air for extra damage when they are knocked into them. The combat is built around a three-way relationship between strikes, throws, and holds, with holds acting as timed counters that intercept incoming attacks. Matches use a small roster including Kasumi, Ryu Hayabusa, Tina, Bass, Zack, and Jann Lee, each with their own move lists and multiple costumes. Modes cover single-player play against the computer and versus matches for two players on one console.
