Dead or Alive 2

Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore is the PlayStation 2 version of the 3D fighter, with additional content over earlier releases. Fighters battle unarmed across multi-level stages, and strong hits can send an opponent over a ledge or through a barrier, carrying the fight into a lower area for extra damage. The core system pits strikes, throws, and holds against one another, with holds serving as timed counters to intercept attacks. The roster includes Kasumi, Ryu Hayabusa, Tina, Bass, Jann Lee, Zack, Helena, Ein, and Leon, among others, with a range of alternate costumes. Modes cover story, survival, time attack, sparring, versus play, and tag battles with two fighters per side.
