The Sega Genesis conversion of Double Dragon 3, a side-scrolling beat ’em up. You control a member of the Lee brothers’ team through stages set in a number of different countries, clearing waves of enemies before facing a boss at the end of each area. Combat uses punches, kicks, jumping attacks and grabs, with weapons dropped by enemies usable until they are lost. As in the arcade original, item shops appear between stages where you can buy upgrades and extras rather than finding them in the levels. Two players can fight side by side. Enemies attack in groups and from both directions, so the game rewards crowd control and careful use of knockdown attacks over button mashing.
