Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story is a one-on-one fighting game for the Sega Genesis based on the film about Bruce Lee’s life. You play as Lee, working through a series of matches against a roster of opponents, using punches, kicks, throws and special moves performed with directional and button combinations. Fights follow the standard format of the era: two fighters on a side-on plane, best-of rounds decided by depleting the opponent’s health bar within the time limit. Alongside the story-driven progression there are versus options for playing against another person. Weapons such as nunchaku feature in some encounters, and between fights the game presents story elements drawn from the film. Backgrounds are drawn from locations connected to the movie’s narrative.
