Fantasy Zone II – Sega Master System Game

A sequel to Fantasy Zone for the Sega Master System, again putting you in control of the winged ship Opa-Opa. The bright pastel worlds and cartoon enemies return, along with the shop system that lets you spend collected money on weapons, bombs and engine upgrades. This entry expands each stage into multiple linked areas connected by warp gates, so you fly between sub-zones hunting down the enemy bases before the boss can be reached. Play remains a free-roaming, horizontally looping shooter rather than a forced scroller, letting you choose which direction to explore and when to retreat. Cheerful music and soft colours sit alongside a challenge that tightens as later stages add tougher enemy patterns and more ground to cover.
