Final Fantasy VII – PS1 Game

Final Fantasy VII is a turn-based role-playing game for the PlayStation. You play as Cloud Strife, a mercenary hired by the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE to strike at the Shinra corporation, which drains the planet’s life energy for power. The story widens from the industrial city of Midgar into a journey across the world, pursuing Sephiroth. Combat uses the active-time battle system with Limit Break attacks that charge as characters take damage. Magic and abilities come from Materia, colored orbs slotted into weapons and armor that can be swapped freely between party members and that grow stronger with use. The game uses pre-rendered backgrounds with 3D character models, plus full-motion video sequences. Optional content includes chocobo breeding and racing, minigames, hidden characters, and superbosses well beyond the main quest’s difficulty.
