Frogger – Gameboy Game

Frogger on Game Boy is a handheld version of the classic hopping arcade game. You move a frog upward one square at a time, judging gaps in traffic to cross a road, then hitching rides on logs and other floating objects to get over a stretch of water. Contact with a vehicle or a fall into the river costs a life, and a timer pressures you to keep moving rather than wait indefinitely for an opening. Getting your frogs to the safety of the far bank clears the screen and raises the difficulty. The presentation uses simple monochrome overhead sprites suited to the original Game Boy hardware. Scoring and survival drive the game, with success resting on timing and reading movement patterns.
