Front Mission 3 – PS1 Game

A tactical role-playing game for PlayStation in which battles are fought with piloted mechs called wanzers. Combat plays out on grid-based maps where you position units, manage movement and attack range, and target specific wanzer parts: arms, legs and body can be destroyed individually, disabling weapons or mobility rather than simply reducing a health bar. Between missions you customise your machines, swapping frames, weapons, backpacks and computers, and manage pilot skills that trigger during fights. The story is set in a near-future Asia and follows political and military intrigue, told through dialogue scenes and an in-game network you browse for emails and news. Early on you make a choice that sends the campaign down one of two separate scenario paths with different characters and events, allowing a second playthrough with different content.
