Front Mission 4 – PS2 Game

A tactical role-playing game for PlayStation 2 built around wanzers, the series’ piloted combat mechs. Missions play out on grid maps where positioning, facing and weapon range decide engagements, and you can target individual wanzer parts to cripple an enemy’s weapons or mobility. A link system lets you group units so allies join in with support fire when a partner attacks or is attacked. Between battles you rebuild your machines from frames, weapons, backpacks and computers, and develop pilot skills used automatically during fights. The story alternates between two protagonists in different parts of the world, one following a European military unit and the other a group in South America, with the two threads gradually connecting. Presentation mixes 3D battle scenes with dialogue-driven story sequences.
