Gran Turismo 4 is a racing simulator for the PlayStation 2, developed by Polyphony Digital. Its career mode combines license tests, driving missions, single events and championship series, funded by prize money used to buy cars from new and used dealerships. The car list spans early automobiles, classic road cars, modern production models and race machines, and the course list mixes real circuits with city courses and original tracks. Tuning covers engine parts, gearing, suspension, brakes and tyres, with settings adjusted per vehicle. B-Spec mode lets you direct an AI driver, issuing pace and overtaking instructions during longer races, while Photo Mode allows staged shots of cars in scenic locations and on track. Endurance events and split-screen two-player racing are also included.
