This two-game release for the original Xbox collects Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Both are third-person open-world crime games in which you drive, walk and shoot your way through a city, taking missions from criminal contacts while free to ignore them and explore instead. Grand Theft Auto III is set in Liberty City and follows a silent protagonist working his way through the local underworld after a betrayal. Vice City moves to a coastal city styled after the 1980s, casting you as Tommy Vercetti as he builds his own operation, and adds motorcycles and property to buy. Both games let you steal almost any vehicle, tune in to in-game radio stations while driving, and draw police attention that escalates with the trouble you cause.
