Grand Theft Auto III – Xbox Game

The Xbox version of Grand Theft Auto III puts you in Liberty City as a criminal betrayed during a robbery and working his way back up through the city’s underworld. Play is third-person and open-ended: you can follow missions handed out by mobsters, dealers and other contacts, or drive around the city stealing cars, causing trouble and taking on side jobs like taxi fares, paramedic runs and vigilante missions. The city is split into islands that unlock as the story advances, each with its own gangs and layout. In-game radio stations play music and talk segments while you drive, and a wanted level tracks police attention, escalating from patrol cars to heavier response until you escape or have your vehicle resprayed. This edition supports custom soundtracks from the console’s hard drive.
