Great Soccer – Sega Master System Game

Great Soccer is a soccer game for the Sega Master System, one of Sega’s early sports titles for the system. Matches are played from an overhead-style view with a scrolling pitch, and you control one member of your team at a time while the computer handles the rest. Play consists of passing, dribbling upfield and shooting on goal, with tackles and goalkeeper saves handled through the same two-button pad layout. The presentation is deliberately simple, with small sprites, a scoreboard clock and short halves, reflecting the console’s early software. You can play against the computer or against a second player, making it a straightforward pick-up-and-play match game rather than a simulation with deep tactics or licensed teams.
