Gretzky NHL 06 – PS2 Game

Gretzky NHL 06 is a licensed ice hockey game for the PlayStation 2, released under Wayne Gretzky’s name. You control a full NHL team on the ice, working the puck up the boards, setting up passing plays and taking shots on goal while defending with checks and stick work. Standard hockey rules apply, including offsides, icing and penalties that put you on the power play or short-handed. Modes cover single exhibition matches as well as extended play that takes a club through a season with roster management between games. Sliders and difficulty options let you shift the feel from a quick arcade match toward a slower simulation. Presentation uses a television-style broadcast look with commentary, replays and on-ice indicators to track your skaters.
