Gundam Battle Assault – PS1 Game

Gundam Battle Assault is a one-on-one fighting game based on the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Instead of standard martial-arts fighters, you control mobile suits in 2D duels, using beam and projectile weapons, melee strikes, boosters and short flight to control distance. Each suit has its own weapon loadout and handling, so ranged bombardment and close-quarters brawling both work depending on your pick. Stages are drawn as ruined cities, deserts and space settings, with destructible scenery in places. Modes include a single-player run through a series of opponents, versus play against a second player, and practice options. Health and ammunition management matter, since some weapons have limited shots and reload timing leaves you exposed.
