Happy Feet – GBA Game

The Game Boy Advance game based on the animated film about a tap-dancing penguin. It is built around timing and movement: rhythm sections ask you to match on-screen prompts in step with the music to perform dance routines, while other stages have you guiding your penguin through sliding, swimming and running sections set in Antarctic environments. Levels follow the shape of the film’s story and use its characters, with sprite-based artwork and short cutscene panels between chapters. Controls are limited to the handheld’s directional pad and face buttons, and the pacing and difficulty are pitched at younger players. Progress unlocks further stages and routines. Sessions are short and self-contained, which suits the handheld format.
