Hunter the Reckoning

Set in the World of Darkness universe drawn from White Wolf’s tabletop games, this PlayStation 2 action title continues the Hunter: The Reckoning series. You take a hunter character into overrun streets and buildings, fighting waves of undead and other supernatural creatures from a pulled-back camera angle. Combat mixes melee weapons with firearms, and you pick up ammunition and health as you clear areas and move between objectives. Each playable hunter has their own weapon preferences and special abilities powered by a meter that builds as you fight, giving you screen-clearing options when crowds get large. Progress is level-based, with objectives that send you through city environments toward boss encounters. The tone is dark horror throughout, with heavy emphasis on sustained crowd combat rather than puzzles or exploration.
