IGPX – PS2 Game

IGPX for the PlayStation 2 is based on the Immortal Grand Prix anime, and it combines high-speed racing with mech combat. Teams field three piloted mechs, and races mix cornering and speed management with fighting rival machines using melee attacks and abilities. Roles are split across the team, so part of the game is dealing with opponents while also keeping pace on the circuit. Tracks are futuristic circuits with barriers and open stretches that suit different tactics, and you can strengthen your machine between events as you work through the season. Presentation draws on the show’s character and mech designs. It is played from a behind-the-mech view, and the pace sits between a straight racing game and an arena fighter.
