Kessen 3 – PS2 Game

Kessen 3 returns to Japan’s Sengoku period and follows Oda Nobunaga’s campaign to unify the country. You direct armies in real-time battles, moving units of samurai, cavalry, archers and gunners around the field and issuing commands as engagements unfold, with the camera able to close in on the fighting. Officers under your command have distinct abilities and can lead charges or special attacks that swing a clash. Terrain and formation choices matter, as does responding to enemy flanking moves and reinforcements arriving mid-battle. Between battles, the game presents cinematics and voiced story sequences covering Nobunaga’s alliances, rivalries and personal relationships. Preparation phases let you assign generals and equipment before heading into the next engagement, and battles are fought as a linked sequence through the campaign.
