King of the Monsters – Sega Genesis Game

King of the Monsters casts you as a giant creature stomping through Japanese cities and wrestling other monsters. The view is pulled back to show whole city blocks, and buildings, towers and bridges collapse as you throw opponents into them. Combat is grappling-focused: you close distance, grab your rival and use throws, slams and pins, with matches decided by pinning your opponent or wearing them down before the timer runs out. Military units fire at you from the ground while you fight, and picking up items scattered in the wreckage restores health or boosts your attacks. You choose from a set of monsters with different builds and reach, and two players can either team up or fight each other. Rounds move between different urban stages.
