Kirby and the Rainbow Curse – Wii U Game

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is a Wii U platformer controlled almost entirely with the stylus on the GamePad’s touch screen. Instead of moving Kirby directly, you draw rainbow ropes that he rolls along, using them to guide him over gaps, deflect hazards and build paths through each stage. Tapping Kirby makes him dash, which is used to break blocks and damage enemies. Along the way he transforms into vehicles such as a tank, a rocket and a submarine, each with its own control quirks. Stages are presented in a clay-and-yarn art style, with modelled backgrounds and characters. Collected treasure and figurines are stored for viewing, and additional players can join on the television screen as Waddle Dees with more conventional platforming controls.
