Knockout Kings 2000 – Nintendo 64 Game

Knockout Kings 2000 is a licensed boxing game featuring real professional fighters. Bouts are viewed from behind and beside the ring, with separate buttons for jabs, hooks and uppercuts to the head and body, plus blocking, leaning and clinching. Stamina drains as you throw punches, so pacing and defence matter across a round; cuts and swelling accumulate and knockdowns are decided by a count. Alongside quick exhibition fights you can build a boxer through a career mode, training between bouts to raise attributes and working up through opponents, while a roster of classic and contemporary names allows dream matchups. Two players can fight head to head. The Nintendo 64 version uses polygonal fighters with cornermen and referee, and includes different weight classes.
