Lord of the Rings Tactics – PSP Game

The Lord of the Rings: Tactics is a turn-based strategy game for the PlayStation Portable. You move a small party across grid-based maps, positioning characters, managing turn order and choosing between melee attacks, ranged shots and special abilities. Both good and evil campaigns are included, so you can fight through scenarios drawn from the story either as heroes of the Free Peoples or as their enemies. Characters level up between battles, gaining stat increases, new skills and equipment that you assign yourself, which lets you steer a fighter toward close combat, archery or magic. Terrain and elevation affect movement and attacks, so choosing where to stand matters as much as which attack to use. Battles are self-contained and sized for handheld play, and multiplayer lets two players fight custom parties against each other.
