Madagascar – PS2 Game

Madagascar on PlayStation 2 is a 3D action platformer based on the animated film. You play as the story’s animals, among them Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo, with each level assigning one or more characters and drawing on their particular abilities. Stages retrace the film’s journey from the zoo and the city to the island, tasking you with exploring areas, solving light environmental puzzles, collecting items and getting past hazards and animal opponents. Objectives are given as you go, and some levels swap standard platforming for chases or other varied challenges. Cutscenes and voice work carry the plot between stages. The controls are aimed at younger players, with simple jumping, attacking and character-specific moves.
