Madden 2003 – Gamecube Game

An entry in EA Sports’ NFL football series on GameCube. You select NFL teams and play exhibition games, full seasons, playoffs or an extended franchise mode, calling plays from playbooks before each snap and then controlling passing, running, coverage and tackling on the field. Pre-snap options include audibles, hot routes and defensive shifts, while the simulation tracks penalties, injuries, fatigue and substitutions. Franchise play covers rosters, trades, free agency and the draft across multiple seasons, with player progression between years. Presentation is television-styled, with commentary, replays, stat overlays and stadium atmosphere. Difficulty sliders, quarter length and rule settings can be adjusted, and mini-game style drills and practice options are included. Several players can compete locally on the same console.
