Madden NFL 12 – PS2 Game

Madden NFL 12 is an entry in EA’s American football series released for the PlayStation 2. You pick an NFL team, call plays from offensive and defensive playbooks, and control players directly once the ball is snapped, handling passes, runs, tackles and kicks. Modes include exhibition matches, season play and longer-term team management, along with local multiplayer for two players on one console. Difficulty, quarter length and penalty settings let you decide how strict and how lengthy a game is, and the presentation uses scoreboard and stat overlays with play diagrams during play calling. Coming from a point when the series’ main development had shifted to newer consoles, this PS2 version is simpler visually and structurally than the HD releases of the same year while keeping the same core football gameplay.
