Mario Kart 8 – Wii U Game

Mario Kart 8 on Wii U adds anti-gravity sections to the series formula, letting karts drive up walls and along ceilings while bumping rivals for a speed boost. Races combine ground driving with gliding and underwater segments, and vehicles can be customised with different karts, bikes, tyres and gliders that change handling and speed. The roster draws from across the Mario series, and item play includes shells, bananas and the boomerang and piranha plant among others. Grand Prix runs across cups and engine classes, with time trials, versus races and online multiplayer also available. Local play supports split screen, and a highlight-reel replay feature lets you review and share races. Course design mixes remade tracks from earlier games with new circuits built around the anti-gravity mechanic.
