Mario Lemieux Hockey – Sega Genesis Game

Mario Lemieux Hockey is a hockey game for the Sega Genesis carrying the name of the Pittsburgh Penguins center. You control a full team on a side-view rink, passing, shooting, checking and swapping lines as play moves up and down the ice. Fights and penalties interrupt the action in the style of era hockey titles, and matches can be played against the computer or a second player on the same console. Options let you adjust the length of periods and other rules before dropping the puck. Presentation is built around simple sprite players, on-ice camera scrolling and score and clock readouts along the display. If you want a straightforward arcade-leaning hockey game rather than a deep simulation, this is that kind of cartridge.
