Mario Power Tennis – Gamecube Game

Mario Power Tennis is a tennis game for the GameCube featuring characters from the Mario series, each with their own movement speed, reach and shot behaviour. Matches use standard tennis scoring with singles and doubles play for up to four players. Alongside the usual topspin, slice, lob and drop shots, each character has offensive and defensive special shots that trigger elaborate animations and can pull off returns that would otherwise be out of reach. Courts vary in surface and layout, with some including hazards and moving obstacles that interfere with play. Tournament modes let you work through brackets against computer opponents, and additional modes present tennis-based minigames and challenges with their own rules and objectives. Character voices, exaggerated animation and Mario series settings run throughout the presentation.
