Marvel Avengers

A Marvel-licensed fighting game for the Wii U built around gesture and motion input rather than traditional button combos. You pick from a roster of Marvel heroes and villains and battle in arenas, performing attacks and special moves by making the on-screen motions the game prompts you for. Matches use tag-team pairs, so you can swap between two characters mid-fight and chain their abilities together. Alongside a story-driven campaign there are versus modes for playing against the computer or another person locally. Presentation leans on comic-book styling, with cel-shaded character models, panel-style flourishes and voiced dialogue between fights. The Wii U release makes use of the GamePad screen during play. Suitable for players who want a lighter, motion-led take on superhero brawling.
