Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfects – PS2 Game

A 3D fighting game that pits Marvel characters against the Imperfects, a group of original creations made for the game. Fights take place in enclosed arenas built from environmental objects you can pick up, throw or destroy, and each character has grounded and aerial attacks plus a powered-up super move. The story mode moves between different fighters as the plot progresses, mixing one-on-one duels with objective-based encounters, and there is a versus mode for two players on the same console. Characters unlock as you play, along with concept art and other extras. The game was released alongside a tie-in comic series that introduced the Imperfects to Marvel readers. Presentation uses fully polygonal characters and camera angles that keep both fighters in frame during close-quarters combat.
